Nicely acted but so incredibly boring. I've read that book and it lit me on fire--I was 18 at the time--whereas watching this movie I was on the Internet reading its reviews and also the trivia about it on IMDB before I had even finished watching it. Did you know that the farmhouse had been abandoned for decades and the crew totally refurbished it?

I remember feeling a bit Meh! about this movie when I saw it in the theater (dating myself). I just remember how controversial it had been (adultery???). No I did not remember that!
ReplyDeleteI have not read this book. Hummm... not sure I want to. It was a tad slow as a movie I do remember that. I am not a big Eastwood as an actor fan - I do like some of his directed movies though.
