I've been a fan of Chris Pratt since he was the loser boyfriend of Rashida Jones on the television series Parks and Rec. His boyish slacker/charming vibe was perfect for the role of Peter Quinn and the rest of the cast were top-notch as well. The movie was funny, had a great soundtrack, whisked along at a very good pace and for once, a completely CGI animal character did not at all annoy me.
Cost: $6.00
Where watched: at the St John's cinema with Matt

We enjoyed it a lot, too. I began looking forward to this film when I found out that Chris Pratt was also the voice of Emmett in the LEGO movie.
ReplyDeleteOh, you can kick back watching this homemade dancing Groot.
I really loved this one. So much fun! However, we went with friends of ours who are 10 years younger than me and quite a few of the pop culture references went over their heads. I definitely felt like this was more of a Gen X movie, not that there's anything wrong with that.
ReplyDeleteI also LOVED this movie. It felt pretty darn awesome to be old enough to get all of the jokes (I felt like a champ laughing at all of the things the babies just didn't get - when he called Rocket, Ranger Rick - LOL!). The music was great, too.
